Friuli Stadium is home to ‘Udinese Calcio’ soccer team. The stadium has undergone an extensive 33$M renovation between 2013 and 2015 to become a multipurpose sports arena. The old stadium galleries were demolished to make way for a modern spectator seating with a complete roofing plan, including a clear inner strip made of Palram corrugated polycarbonate panels. The clear embossed 3mm Suntuf panels with 7770 profile were installed with proprietary sliding connectors, as part of a complete solution developed by the Palram Project Support Center and successfully implemented in previous projects. The panels span the entire length with no longitude overlaps; using the connectors, the panels are installed directly on the main substructure and save considerably on secondary steel; the panels also allow increased span between supports, which reduces shading from the substructure on the ground.
