Twickenham stadium is the home of Englands rugby, the largest dedicated rugby union stadium in the world with an impressive 82,000 capacity. As part of the roof refurbishment a custom Suntuf profile was designed to replace the existing GRP material that had reached the end of its service life. Suntuf polycarbonate was chosen for its high light transparency and its long service life. The custom profile enabled the installation on existing steel work with fewer corrugations and fixing points speeding up installation and reducing fixings required. The new polycarbonate roof gave the stadium a fresh look with floods of natural daylight over this historic ground.
